There are two outstanding cultural monuments in the park: the Visovac Monastery and the Krka Monastery. The island of Visovac is located in the middle of Lake Visovac, where the green water created the karst plateau, which gave birth to a harmonious combination of natural and historical heritage.
The island, which was transformed by monks over the centuries into a charming settlement full of trees, colorful flowers, fruits and vegetables, repeatedly attracts many pilgrims and tourists.
